With the introduction of our new billing system, we now bill our customers on the first of every month. The new monthly billing cycles began on 01.08.2022.
This change means there will be prorated charges for the period from the actual day of purchase to the first of the following month. For a better overview, these charges are listed separately on the invoice.
If you place an order in the middle of the month, for example, you’ll receive the invoice on the first of the following month.
Example
You purchase a Pro subscription on 20.07 with a monthly payment schedule. Your invoice on 01.08. with show the following charges:
an item for the period from 01.08. to 01.09. for €55 (net)
an item for the prorated charge from from 20.07. to 01.08 (charged to the minute)
Does new billing system have any negative effects for me?
No, the new system has no disadvantages for you. The costs of your subscriptions will, of course, remain the same and nothing will change in terms of the payment method and payment period.
Will my invoice always display prorated charges from now on?
No, prorated charges only apply if you purchase a new subscription or change an existing one, e.g. through an upgrade. Otherwise, your subscription is billed on the first of the month according to the payment interval. Prorated fees are therefore only charged once for each subscription.
