From time to time, you may need to separate an already activated Box from a contract. After detaching the Box from the contract, it will become a Demo Box. The contract itself will, however, remain active and space is made available on it for another Box.

Step 1: Go to the contract administration

You can remove a Box from a contract in the contract administration area. Click on Details next to the contract you want to edit to access the contract overview.

Step 2: Remove Box from contract

You will now see a paper icon with a cross on it. Click on this icon to remove the Box from the current contract.

Remove a Box from a contract

Important: After the Box is removed from the contract, it will be converted to a Demo Box. Depending on the previous plan level, this Box will run from four to 14 days and will be deleted automatically after this period. The domain remains properly connected during this time but must be redirected to a new Box before the period expires. Otherwise, your domain will no longer be connected to an IP and will not be disconnected properly.

Step 3: Don't forget the contract!

⚠️ CAUTION: When a Box is removed from a contract, the contract itself is not

deleted or canceled. Remember to assign a new Box to the now empty

contract.
