What is catch-all and how does it work?
The catch-all feature allows you to receive emails sent to non-existent addresses on your domain. Instead of being rejected, these messages are delivered to a designated mailbox.
This can be useful if someone makes a typo in an email address or if you want to receive messages sent to different addresses on your domain without creating a separate mailbox or alias for each one.
đŠ Example:
Let's say you own the domain example.com and have set up catchall@example.com as your catch-all mailbox.
Emails sent to the following addresses, assuming they don't already exist, will automatically arrive in your catch-all mailbox:
hello@example.comâcatchall@example.comwordpress@example.comâcatchall@example.cominof@example.comâcatchall@example.com
Emails sent to existing mailboxes or aliases will continue to be delivered as usual.
How do I set up a catch-all mailbox?
đĄ Important: To use the catch-all feature, you need to create a dedicated mailbox named catchall@yourdomain.com within your Raidboxes Mail contract for the relevant domain.
Follow these steps:
Open the Emails section in your Raidboxes Dashboard.
Click the button Create New Inbox.
Select the Raidboxes Mail contract associated with your domain and click Next
Create a new mailbox named
catchallunder that contract.Set a password for the mailbox and complete the setup.
Once created, this mailbox will receive emails sent to non-existent addresses on your domain.

What should I know before using catch-all?
A dedicated mailbox is required: Catch-all needs its own mailbox, which counts towards the maximum number of mailboxes allowed under your Raidboxes Mail plan.
Existing addresses are unaffected: Emails sent to existing mailboxes and aliases will continue to be delivered normally.
â ď¸ Please note: Enabling catch-all may increase the amount of spam you receive, as messages sent to any non-existent address on your domain will also be accepted.
