Where can I find my mailbox settings?
You can use your mailbox settings to change your password, set up email aliases and forwarding, manage storage, and view your mail server settings.
To access your mailbox settings:
In the Raidboxes Dashboard, click Emails.
Find the mailbox you want to manage and click the arrow on the right-hand side of its tile.
Select Inbox Settings from the dropdown menu.
What can I manage in my mailbox settings?
Your mailbox settings include the following sections:
Mailbox Information: View your email plan and check whether your mailbox is active.
Change Password: Set a new password for your mailbox.
Server Configuration: Find the IMAP, POP3, and SMTP settings needed to connect your mailbox to email clients such as Outlook, Thunderbird, or Apple Mail, or to configure an SMTP plugin in WordPress.
Webmailer: Access your emails directly in your browser without installing an email client. You can also change your mailbox password from within webmail.
Aliases: Create additional email addresses that deliver incoming messages to your existing mailbox.
Forwarding: Automatically forward all incoming emails to another email address.
Storage: Check how much storage your mailbox is using and adjust its allocated storage.
How do I change my mailbox storage allocation?
With Raidboxes Mail, all mailboxes under the same email plan share the plan's total storage capacity. You can decide how much storage to allocate to each individual mailbox.
Example: The Mail Mini plan includes 3 GB of storage. You could allocate 2 GB to one mailbox and 500 MB each to two additional mailboxes.
đĄ Good to know: If your mailbox is full, it doesn't necessarily mean you've used all the storage included in your email plan. Your mailbox may simply have reached its individual storage limit.
Adjust your mailbox storage
Open the Inbox Settings for the mailbox you want to manage.
Scroll down to the Storage section.
Check how much storage is still available under your email plan and how much is currently allocated to your mailbox.
Enter your preferred storage allocation in MB under Set Mailbox Quota.
Click Save.
The updated storage allocation should become available to your mailbox within a few minutes.
What can I do if my mailbox is running out of storage?
If your mailbox is full, first check whether your email plan has any unallocated storage available. If it does, you can assign more storage to your mailbox directly from its settings.
If all available storage has already been allocated to other mailboxes, you can reduce their allocations and redistribute the storage as needed. However, you cannot reduce a mailbox's storage allocation below the amount it is currently using.
đĄ Good to know: Allocated storage and actual storage usage are two different things. For example, a mailbox might have 2 GB allocated to it while only using 500 MB.
If your mailboxes genuinely need more storage than your current plan provides, you can upgrade to a larger email plan.
