To test all Raidboxes features for free, you first need to set up a free Raidboxes account to get access to the Raidboxes Dashboard. Once you have a Raidboxes account, there are two ways to start a trial at Raidboxes:

  • You can create a new Box with a completely empty WordPress website

  • You can migrate an existing site to our servers.

What is a Box?

A Box always contains one WordPress website. Basically, you can always manage one WP installation per Box - unless you work in a Multisite Box.

How do I create a new Box?

Creating a new Box in your Raidboxes account is easy. Go first to your Raidboxes Dashboard.

You will see the button Create New Box in the Dashboard overview.

How our free trial works - new Box

Click on this button to be taken to a new page where you can make the following choices for the Box:

  • the desired Box performance (this is the hosting plan you would like to test with the Demo Box),

  • the WordPress version to be installed on the Box,

  • the title of the website,

  • and your WordPress login data (username and password).

Once you have entered all the required information, click Create Box.

Your Demo Box gives you full access to all the Raidboxes features and tools, including staging, backup management and templates.

The Demo Box will be deleted automatically once the trial expires.

Our trial is entirely free of charge and you don't need to enter any payment information to use it. The service from Raidboxes only becomes chargeable when you activate a Box with a paid hosting subscription.

How do I switch off the server-side password protection on a Demo Box?

All Demo Boxes are password protected by default and can therefore not be accessed by search engines or users (without the corresponding login). Password protection can only be switched off after the Box has been activated with a paid subscription and the first payment has been processed. This should not take longer than one working day after payment.

(Afterwards, you can either switch off password protection entirely or set it for individual areas of your website. A detailed explanation of the password protection feature can be found here: Website access).

How do I activate a Demo Box?

If you decide to host your WordPress site with Raidboxes, you simply need to activate your Demo Box. Click on the orange banner in your Demo Box to start the activation.

Click on Activate Now, select the desired hosting plan and complete the checkout process to activate the Box. As mentioned above, the service becomes chargeable once a Box is activated with a paid hosting subscription.

After activation, you can now connect a domain to your Box. We explain how this works here: Raidboxes Domains.
