The website is ready to go live
Once your WordPress project is ready to go live, there are two ways to pay for the hosting subscription. You can choose to handle the hosting subscription for the finished WordPress project yourself or have your clients pay us directly. Both ways can be easily combined and you can decide flexibly per Box how to continue.
Option 1: You book the hosting for your clients
Do you want to handle the hosting yourself and charge your clients directly?
Get up to 60% off all hosting plans when you pay the hosting for your client's website and the Box stays in your Raidboxes account.
Option 2: Transfer the Box to your client and they pay for the hosting directly. You remain the Admin on the Box.
You don't want to take care of hosting bills and just want to manage the website as an admin? Get a commission for new customers you refer: you transfer the Box to your client's account and they host the websites themselves directly with us. You can transfer the Box with a few clicks if your clients prefer to host in this way. After the transfer, you automatically remain the admin of the Box and can continue to support your clients and work on their websites. Of course, you can remove yourself as Box admin at any time.
Box transfers to clients via change of ownership
At Raidboxes, you can transfer Boxes to other Raidboxes user accounts at any time. Agencies and freelancers use this feature, for example, to transfer websites they've developed to their clients.
Important information about box ownership transfer:
Paid activation: The recipient of the ownership transfer must activate the Box on a paid plan immediately as part of the transfer process. Please make sure that your clients do not purchase a plan for the Box before the transfer takes place. (If you’re handing over the website to a client, it’s best to recommend the appropriate plan directly.)
Commission eligibility: An ownership transfer is automatically marked as commission-relevant for new customers.
Discount on the Fully Managed plan: End clients who are referred by a partner (via ownership transfer or partner affiliate link) receive a permanent reduced price of €25 (instead of the regular list price of €35) for their first Fully Managed Box.
Important: The discount applies only to the first Fully Managed Box of a referred new customer.
Activation: The reduced price is automatically shown during checkout – no separate entry is required.
How the change of ownership works
If you are the owner of a Box, you can find the option to transfer it to another user in the Owner section of the Box Overview. To start the owner change process, simply click on Transfer Box now.
Enter the new owner's email address.
The recipient will immediately be sent an email with a confirmation link. After clicking on the link, your client will need to pay for a hosting subscription to complete the change of ownership.
A new Raidboxes account will be created in the process, if your client doesn't already have one. If the new owner already has a Raidboxes account, they must enter the email address the person is registered with in our system.
⚠️ The email address must be identical so that you can transfer your finished Box via change of ownership. Your clients should not register with a different email address if they already have a Raidboxes account.
After each transfer, you automatically remain the website administrator and can still access the Box settings. This way you can continue to support your customers directly.
