If your domain is with Raidboxes, you can create and configure subdomains with just a few clicks. You simply need to create a DNS A record for your domain and fill in the Subdomain field accordingly.
Please note: Creating a subdomain do not mean you are creating a new website. A
subdomain is a domain that you can connect to any IP address. If you want to run
another website under the subdomain, you will need to create a second Box for it.
Step 1: Go to the domain administration
From your Raidboxes Dashboard, click on the Domains tab to enter the domain administration area. Click on DNS options next to the domain you want to create a subdomain for.
Step 2: Create the subdomain
In this step, you'll create new A record for this domain and enter the subdomain in the Subdomain field. Click on + Add DNS entry and fill in the fields in the window that opens:
The desired subdomain: If you wanted, for example, to create the subdomain blog.example.com, you would type blog in the Subdomain field.
The IP address the subdomain should point to: In the Target field, enter the IP to which the new subdomain should point to.
Leave the record Type set as A. You can also enter CNAME if you know how to set a CNAME record correctly. The article Create CNAME records explains how to create this record type.
The subdomain has been created once the new record is set. As with any other DNS record, you can edit or delete the subdomain in the DNS overview of the domain.
