Why does my Box domain overview show a domain connection warning after the Raidboxes 2.0 upgrade?

The domain proxy that we activate after the migration generates a warning in the domain overview of your box for up to 48 hours.

To avoid downtimes after the Raidboxes 2.0 upgrades, we set up a so-called domain proxy. It forwards requests to your old Box directly to the new one, even if your new DNS records are not yet recognized correctly everywhere.

We also use this process when upgrading Boxes whose domains are managed by us. Due to the domain proxy, Phase 1 migrations initially result in a warning in the domain overview of your Box.

If your site loads properly, you can safely ignore this warning. It will automatically change to the familiar green checkmark after about 48 hours.

Warning is displayed until DNS entries are recognized globally

The orange exclamation mark is displayed until the new DNS entries for your domain are correctly recognized everywhere. In the meantime, the domain proxy ensures that requests that use the old DNS settings are forwarded correctly. This ensures that users always see your new Raidboxes 2.0 Box.
