A template serves as a backup copy of your Box, which is stored indefinitely in your user account. You can use this template to restore your website at any time, even if the original website has already been deleted.

This function can be extremely useful for web developers, as it makes it possible to create a basic setup for projects. In addition to a fresh WordPress installation and the settings in the Raidboxes dashboard, you can also save the desired plugins in the template.

The template can therefore be a very good, time-saving basis for starting a new project.

The option to create a template for your website can be found in the dashboard of your corresponding Raidboxes.

Below the screenshot of your page, you will find a series of icons with various functions, including "Create template from box", which is represented by the icon with the double pages.

After you have clicked on the button, you will be asked to enter a name for your template. To confirm and start the process, click on "Create template"

Depending on the size of the page, it may take a moment for the template to be created. Once the process is complete, you will find your created template in the menu of your Raidboxes dashboard under Templates.

To transfer your website from the template to a new box, first navigate to your templates in the dashboard menu. Click on "Create new box from template" on a template what you like to restore.

You will then be asked for the plan and the name for the box. Confirm by clicking on the green "Create box" button and your box with the website from the template will be created shortly.

Please note that depending on the size of the template, it may take some time before the box is ready.
