As a subdirectory Multisite doesn't depend on its own domains, you can also test this Multisite type as a Demo Box and start creating subsites straight away.

You can, of course, also activate the Box with a paid subscription and use it with your own domain. In this guide, we'll only activate the Box at the end.

Step 1: Create your subsites (from the Raidboxes dashboard)

You set up the subsites of the Multisite in the Multisite settings of the Box. These settings can be found in the Box settings under the menu item Multisite. You can also access this settings page directly from the Box Dashboard via the button Go to Multisite settings.

You can now set up the subsites of the Multisite via the + icon (create entry).

Simply enter the URL string of the site in the field and click on Create site.

You'll now find the site you just created in the list of subsites.

The created sites are now visible and can be managed in the network administration of the WordPress dashboard.

Step 2: Link the domain

With a subdirectory Multisite setup, linking a domain works in the same way as with a single site Box. Check out these articles for more instructions:

Create your subsites (from the WordPress Dashboard)

In step 1 we had created our new subsites from the Raidboxes Dashboard. As an alternative, you can add new subsites directly from the WordPress dashboard. To do so, got to your Network Admin --> sites. Click the Add New Button or the menu item to create a new subsite.

The newly added website will also show up in the list of websites in your Multisite settings in the Raidboxes dashboard a few moments later.
