Connect an email client

A quick guide to the different ways of connecting your mailbox to an email client.

There are two ways you can connect your mailbox to an email client of your choice:

  1. Connect the email client via the Mailbox.org AutoConfig file.

  2. Manually set up the email client

Step-by-step instructions from Mailbox.org:

  1. Navigate to your mailbox overview. Click on the Emails tab in your dashboard and select the relevant mailbox.

  2. Log in to the Mailbox.org webmail. The login data and the link to the login area can be found in the Webmail section.
    Click on Open webmailer to be taken to the Mailbox.org login screen where you can enter your email address and your password.
    ​

  3. Connect your device. Once you're logged in to the Mailbox.org webmail, click on the drop-down menu at the top right and select Connect your device. You will now be guided through the operating system and device selection in three steps. Click on the desired system and select everything you want to connect to your email client.

  4. Start configuration. Click on Configure now. The configuration file will be loaded onto your computer.
    ​

  5. Run the file on your device. By executing the file on your device, you will be guided step by step through the configuration.

Manually setting up the email client

As an alternative to the AutoConfig file, you can also connect your email client to your mailbox manually. Select your device for further instructions:
