A website migration involves making an exact copy of your WordPress site from your old server and saving the 1:1 copy on our server. Your live site will not go offline because of the migration and the content will not be affected in any way.

How can I migrate my website to Raidboxes?

There are several ways to migrate your website:

  1. Let us migrate your website as part of our free migration service. This option can take up to two working days to complete, but we handle everything for you. We take care of the entire migration process from start to finish. This service is free of charge and without obligation.

  2. Use a plugin such as All in One WP Migration or Migrate Guru to migrate your site.

  3. Migrate the site yourself manually via FTP.

How can I use the free migration service?

You can enter a migration request for our free migration service from your Raidboxes Dashboard. First, click on Migrate Website.

This will take you to our managed migration form. Simply fill in the form with the requested information about your website.

Tip: If you would like to provide us with any additional information for the migration, you can enter it here in the comment field.

💡 As part of the migration, we test the performance of your website with your current host and compare it with the results on our servers. This gives you a transparent overview of possible improvements in speed and stability – we do not carry out any further optimisations. You'll receive the results of this test by email immediately afterwards.

After the migration, you can take a look at your new site and test our service at your leisure. If you don't activate the Demo Box with a subscription by the end of the test phase, it will simply be deleted.

What data do you need from me for a managed migration?

We need login data for your website to start the migration process. You can enter these credentials in the secure and convenient migration form.

Important: To perform the migration, we need a WordPress administrator's rights (also called WP Admin). You can create your own WordPress account for our migration team and delete it after the migration is complete, for example.

If the login is also protected by a password (.htaccess), you can provide these credentials in the migration form. If you use other functions to protect the login area, such as two-factor authentication, please deactivate them.

Can I migrate my website myself?

Of course! If you would prefer to do the migration with a plugin, you can follow the steps in these articles:

You can also migrate your website manually to our servers via FTP. Instructions are provided in this article:
