A Box Admin can access and manage your Box through the Raidboxes Dashboard.
Each Box Admin uses their own Raidboxes account and receives their own SFTP and SSH credentials for the Box. This means you never have to share your own login credentials with other users.
Permissions
A Box Admin can:
✅ access the Box through the Raidboxes Dashboard.
✅ access the Box using their own SFTP and SSH credentials.
✅ change all Box settings.
✅ configure the domains and redirects assigned to the Box.
A Box Admin cannot:
❌ view invoices or payment information.
❌ purchase products or add-ons.
❌ make changes to the customer account or billing settings.
❌ delete the Box.
💡 Please note:
A Box Admin does not receive administrator access to WordPress.
If access to the WordPress admin area is required, a separate WordPress user account with the appropriate permissions must be created.
SFTP and SSH Access
If you want to give someone their own SFTP or SSH access to your Box, you'll need to add them as a Box Admin.
Each Box Admin uses their own Raidboxes account and receives their own SFTP and SSH credentials for the Box.
This means you never have to share your existing login credentials with other users.
⚠️ SFTP and SSH access cannot be restricted
SFTP and SSH access always applies to the entire Box.
It is not possible to limit access to individual folders or directories (for example, only wp-content/uploads).
Add a Box Admin
1️⃣ Click the User Plus icon in your Box overview.
2️⃣ Enter the email address of the person you want to grant access to your Box.
If a Raidboxes account already exists for this email address, it will be granted access to your Box once the invitation has been accepted.
If no Raidboxes account exists yet, a new account will be created during the invitation process.
Cancel an admin invitation
If you entered the wrong email address or no longer need to invite someone, you can cancel a pending invitation at any time.
1️⃣ Click the User Plus icon again, then click the circle representing the pending invitation.
For example:
💡 Tip: Move your mouse pointer over a circle to see which Box Admin it belongs to.
2️⃣ Confirm the cancellation.
The invitation will be cancelled immediately, and the invitation link will no longer be valid.
Remove a Box Admin
To remove a Box Admin, click the User Plus icon again, then click the circle representing the Box Admin you want to remove.
For example:
After confirming, the user will immediately lose access to your Box through the Raidboxes Dashboard, SFTP, and SSH.
