With single sign on (SSO), you can log in to your WordPress site with one click from your Raidboxes Dashboard. SSO can help prevent you from losing your password and locking yourself out of your website.
💡 Tip: Using SSO means you can create complex, i.e. secure, passwords for your WordPress admin accounts. After activating and configuring SSO, it's a good idea to take a critical look at your passwords and, if necessary, make them more complex.
You'll achieve the highest security with a username of 60 characters and a password of 64 different alphanumeric characters, including special characters. That's the maximum a WordPress database will allow currently. (See: WordPress Database Description)
Important: Only the Box owner can set up single sign-on.
How to turn on single sign on (SSO)
To activate single sign on, go to the Settings tab from your Box overview. Click on WordPress in the menu on the left-hand side and select Single Sign On from the drop-down. Turn the toggle to On to activate single sign on.
Now you need to configure the SSO feature. Select Configure to start.
A window will appear where you can define exactly which Raidboxes user is able to log in to your website with which WordPress user account.
Once you've granted a user permission to log in to your website via SSO, the WordPress login option will change to simply Log in.
